I have a Rolex simply to spite those who have real ones. My 'Rolex' looks just like real ones. It's fun to see how far you can go with some people.

This thread kind of took a little bit of a right turn... the discussion was about bang for the buck and it morphed into, well, something else....

anyway.... carry on.

Bang For the Buck

In my mind a Rolex does not offer any bang for the buck, but has strong resale value. It is all about looks.

The Chevy SS offer a of bang but has low resale value.

The BMW X5 has bang for the buck, but may be a little over priced. It has a much better resale value than the Chevy.

IMO, I don't care about resale value.
I drive till the cars die.

you're just full of contradictions aren't you??

1)So you say Rolex is all about status symbol but you won't get one since any quartz watch (even the ones from your Blue light special trip) can tell time better. This is after saying that the X5 that you have is good as a status symbol.

2) you say the BMW X5 has bang for the buck, but may be a little over priced
So how's that bang for the buck??

3) you say "I still think that part of the reason most people buy The BMW or any of the $50,000 plus German Cars is for the snob facter. It is the same reason people buy Rolex" but of course, you bought an X5.

4) you say " Rolex are just for look and there is no bang for the buck", but of course you also say that it has high resale value... case in point for me -paid under $8K for my white face SS Daytona and sold it back out for $12K. so bang for the buck?? making $4K from doing nothing sounds like bang for the buck to me..

So please, let's make this an intelligent conversation and formulate a sound argument... your turn.

In a straight line... No doubt. But what fun is that?
Throw in some curves, and it's bye-bye Blazer!
