In the long run, the 4.8 might also be a better b/c:
1)resale value might be better b/c it has the current face lift.

Yeah the ignition solutions plasma coils are good. I used to run/test them out on my car for them. It makes some difference. Although our M3s do naturally produce a multi-spark ignition too.
