Look for new water pump, thermostat and hose. Micky Mouse flange leaks. OIl leaks: Valve cover, oil filter housing, oil cooler and oil pan.

Try the BIMMERGEEK app or even a Foxwell 530. I used both in my F15 and a remote from Bimmergeek after replacing a motor to get the automatic reset to work.
