I had warranty left, full records, and BMW-dealership repairs done...

I had my driveline fluids changed at 50k. Car now has 86k and no gear problems. I had a mechatronic problem around 80k but not tranny or diff.

It was a new one; warranty paid for it. The link shows rebuilt ones. Maybe half the cost? I don't know.

Labor not included in those prices. It was under $437.

Are you sure it's the transmission and not the valve body? I had the valve body replaced for the same symptoms. Fixed 100%.
