The shade mounts behind the 2nd row seat. You can't use the third row seat with the shade in the way.

BTW, its also a hassle to remove/install the shade unit.

The 35d has been delayed due to CARB because its the last to go through. BMW rushed through all the other motors first. They have all received their approvals in March/April (just before the diesel)....
