Depends...whats your mileage and history. If its been a while (100k miles), change the coolant, upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant temp sensor, thermostat with housing, and possibly heater hoses.

I'm confident I can coax a junkyard into the $300's for a kit if I find it that route. Even $200 of savings is enough for me to go used...hell, it's a 7 year old car, why put new non-wear parts on it...

Update: I finally installed INPA on my laptop and scanned it. P1093 is equivalent to BMW code 236 which shows up as Oxygen Sensor control upstream bank 2. Any ideas?
