No, it won't. My Aux fan quit working and so did the A/C. Replaced the fan, and it worked again. There are tons of posts saying the same thing in all the X5 forums.

I would guess that the DME will...

wonder why the PO covered the rear seat-back

After I removed the two rear seat covers (one cheapo covering both upper and lower, and a heavy-duty seat back cover, that was there when I got the X) yesterday, I looked at the seat and wondered why...

so I don't have the only hacked radio wiring

My '01 had two Previous Owners, the first for 16-17 years, the second for the 3.5 years that it took for him to semi-recondition it mechanically, before trading it to me for my '66 Chevelle drag car....

more problems coming faster than I can solve them

First problem: Just now, I went out to remove the rear seat-back cover, and (now torn) seat-cushion cover, that my grandnephew (by marriage) screwed up three weeks ago, by sliding in from the right...

On our A/C, we had about 80-90% of the underside of the "evaporator unit coils" covered with the jelly/mold/scum, which must've accumulated just recently, as the condensate drain had backed up (I...

I ain't got time for this crap; quick-fix to the rescue

This has nothing to do with my X5 (thankfully), but does relate to haigha's post, above.

It's been a bad mid-week 'til now (Wed-Sun), after our home HVAC began freezing up, and quit working. We...

I, too, haven't had a professional shop align any of my vehicles in over 20 years, as well, with two exceptions.

When my truck and camping trailer hit a MOAP (mother-of-all potholes) at 75-80...

MAF learning curve, new vacuum hoses & fuel filter/regulator to come, injector test?

The STFT's were ranging from -10 to +8, depending on speed, grade, load, while the LTFT's at idle were hovering near zero (+/- 3). Better than before.

I'm still planning to replace all vacuum...

I'm no longer my mom-in-law's favorite driver (after 32 years)

Took the X5, as promised, and after a 101 mile turn-around, the mileage now stands at 212040. As usual, I had previously guessed wrong on my mileage in other posts, so I wrote it down this time.

Are you concerned about seals baking and oil caking from internal heat? I'm not familiar at all, concerning e31's, and don't know if there's an electric pump to move coolant, either.

I'm also not...

all-electric fans on my pre-facelift E53

In 2021, just after I swapped cars for the E53, I had to replace the viscous clutch fan, because the clutch was going out, and the blades were deteriorating. I used a 3000cfm aftermarket electric fan...

getting to drive the X again, woohoo!

a job for fully-equipped shops, master mechanics, young men, and/or Saints

Good Luck! I wouldn't want to attempt this, though I've done dozens of such operations over the last 55 years.

It was much easier back then, with simple wiring, more spacious engine compartments,...

a BMW without errors? sacrilege!

Always leave one error still active, or your BMW will feel that it's not doing it's job. Also, the gods will punish you for your hubris!

new spray pump, new grommet, and JB Weld Epoxy fixed my reservoir leaks
