I think you're right. 80mm is the right one for me. According to ECS tuning they recommended the same one. They said the 90mm is for the 4.4.

Change it! Lifetime is lifetime of the transmission. That could be 100K miles or 101K miles. It's not your lifetime, or the reasonable lifetime of the truck. My advise goes for all fluids too btw.

So, was this a drain tube problem? I have the same issue on my X, it looks like it is coming from above the rear D pillar. The rear-most pillar. My NAV case had water on it. I'll take pics tomorrow....

Yup, there is special BMW Transfer Case Fluid that you should use. You also need to program the computer to reset the parameters that you flushed the fluid.
