I ran into the same problem quite sometime ago, I went ahead and disconnected the battery over night and it was fine in the next day, try it....

Before you go ahead and try to replace the light, try disconnecting the battery over night. I had the same issue and I went ahead and changed my battery and the issue was resolved.
