I think it will kill Porsche, but i doubt it will even compete with ML63, that shit is something else

It may not beat the ML63 in a straight line but I am sure it will make the ML bow down once things gets twisty.... :)

It will be nice to have the X5M be able to compete on the same playing field as the ML and the Porsche and be a true contender without someone having to buy the X6M.

Hey guys this is a little off topic but I'm just curious to find out. If the x5 m comes out in 2010 wont they be changing the whole body shape in the next year or 2 for the e70? Or give it a refresh like the prefacelift and facelifted e53?

Technically the facelift is supposed to come in fall 2010 with 2011 model. But things can change. Facelift/LCI is cosmetic changes on outside not the whole body. E53 did not get any metal bodywork change in rear at facelift time.

Cool. I'm out if it's $100K though :dunno: .

cue03 01-08-2009 10:02 AM

I think lots of people are out if it is a $100K for the X5M.........myself included.

poleposition 01-08-2009 10:14 AM

It will have to be 100k. Think about it. A fully loaded 4.8 is pushing 80k. M versions always command a 20% premium. Think of a loaded up 550 and an M5. It wont be much different.

BGM 01-08-2009 10:54 AM

Well maybe if I order mine with leatherette it will only be $99K.:genius:

There was around $7k difference between fully loaded E53 X5 4.4 and E53 X5 4.8is. 4.8is was pretty much loaded and had very few options. Difference between 2009 335i vert and M3 vert in base price is $15,800 and $13,700 for fully loaded ones.
So you can imagine the difference in X5 4.8 and X5 M in the same ball park. :)
