In a 550 hp SAV with 20" tires. That's for sure.

M3 prices translated less than what they were in euros, so hopefully this should be less in US$ too.

I have that picture as my wallpaper on my other desktop. I love it!!

At the end of the day, it will be (virtually) a 4.8i with twin turbos & some cosmetic/interior changes. (it's not like they are putting carbon ceramic brakes on it).

It's a whole lot more than just cosmetic/interior changes...and yes, i do believe it will have BMW ceramic brakes. Have you seen the 135i brakes? And that's not an ///M.

Hey, no fair throwing in the 135i as a comparison... have you seen the number of options available on that car!? Brakes, springs, strut bar, cold intakes, seats, carbon fiber, and that steering wheel!, etc..... Makes the E53 and E70 X5's options seem like a complete joke.

It only makes sense that BMW performance parts be available on all models (soon enough)...love the look of the 135i brakes btw.

The X5M will not come standard with carbon ceramic brake rotors.. no ///M car has them standard - why would the E70?

Please tell us what specifically will differentiate the ///M variant from a loaded/sport packaged/20's 4.8i - beyond the engine & engine related add-ons like oil coolers, etc/different (not bigger) wheels/slight suspension tuning/cosmetics?

Should we expect a mag-ride suspension (such as Ferrari 599 and Corvette ZR1)?

Well, i guess we'll find out soon enough won't we? In the meantime, you can test drive any loaded BMW model and it's ///M variant back to back...and let us know if the only differences you experienced were cosmetic and slight tuning.
