Nope. My car is a 2006 4.8is. The 2001 "X4" was sold years ago.

Ah..now we know what we're working with. :D

When you follow the pairing instruction that were given back in post #5...does your BMW appear on your smartphones list of BT devices? If it does...how are you determining that nothing works...basically, how are you trying to make calls?

If you have a lot of contacts...it may take awhile for all of them to upload. And the car has to be on for the contacts to ip load and your phone needs to be in close proximity.

Have you figured out how to use Voice Control? VC allows you to press the talking face button briefly...you'll hear a tone, then you speak a command like "call number"...and the system will engage with you yo speak the phone nbr you want to call...or you can have VC save specific names...and you can ask the system to "call name".

So yes I see telephone
Yes the module is picked up by the BMW scanner software
It shows it is in MTS mode

I do not see the BMW/module listed in my iPhone 6 Plus
When I press the face profile button nothing happens, it was talking but. No longer

When I go to the telephone screen, it just says please wait

I have pulled fuses, 7, 73, 74 and waited...... Nothing
I have ripped aprt the back and completely unhooked the module and let it sit.....nothing

Maybe it isn't thanked up right? I don't see how has there are color coded stickers showing where the white goes and the purple...

I am at a loss..

Does anyone know what MTS mode is? That is what the ULF module is saying on the Bmw scanner software

peinu 11-27-2015 11:42 AM

just to make sure.

When you made the pairing, did you get the green lights flashing?
At this point, as I recall, the name of bluetooth device is not yet BMW 70455", it's just 80:ef:0d:22:b6 or similiar. When you connect your phone to this device, did you get "Enter Bluetooth Passkey"?

And you have the correct passkey too?

No it does not. Scan with gt1, computer will know if the module is there, and what the malfunction is. Now sure what BMW scanner is capable of.

The bluetooth module needs to be cleared using a GT1 or similar device that can access it and clear the stored pairings.
