I have a 2007 X3 that recently the bluetooth stopped working. When trying to Pair the BMW device doesn't even come up on my phone. I pulled the unit from the car and opened it. I have found numerous potential replacements on ebay but I'm not sure what is compatible. I am only interested in getting the bluetooth portion of whatever this does back functioning. My unit is this:

I'm not sure what will work in it's place. If I understand correctly a MOST unit will not work, it must be IBUS? There lost of units that are described as Ibus TCU but show on their label BMW TCU1.5 MOST US. I have also found units that say BMW Everest IBUS US. Will that work? Some just say BMW Everest E60US.

Does GSM matter if I'm only looking to get Bluetooth connectivity?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
