I love those blue E53's! Nice ride!

It was the estorille blue i fell in love with =) i have previously owned a chevy tahoe the x5 is way more fun to drive and look at, but i sometimes i miss the sweet comfort from the chevy =)

When you have the valve covers blasted you will need to have them baked to outgass the oil vapor that is in the metal. The valve covers are soft metal magnesium alloy i believe and without outgassing them whatever finish you put on will only come off in a matter of months. Trust me you do not want to do this twice.

Yeah companies that powder coat and do this properly will put the valve covers in an oven to get the oil vapors to escape. My powder coater did them at like 400 degrees. I have had 3 sets for different BMWs done in the last 5 years and the finish has held up flawlessly.

I wanted wrinkelpaint for the valve covers, is it possible to do powdercoat wrinkled? 😄

Yes that is what I have on my X5 4.6is valve covers. Looks awesome
