When you say you have a "2001 3.0 w/widescreen" are you meaning you have the factory stereo/NAV system? If so, you already have access to the range data etc.

Also, the iBus device being discussed here requires an Android application, which cannot be run on the factory setup.

Yeah I would prefer the long press to fold the mirrors like my E46. Seems as though the android should do that too but I wont know until I get mine setup. :dunno:

Going to read past threads....I'm really loving the whole 10" screen but I do like some hard buttons like volume at the minimum.

Headunit in the E53 is only really used for Spotify BT audio, Waze audio and phone usage.
Don't even use the Navi on the headunit at all.
It's all about Waze
When it's being used in areas driven unknown, Carplay is use to see the exact street/map for visual turn by turn.

Don't think I'll do ugrade the HU but these recent post with the 10" pr0n. Size matters :dunno:

My Oil Temp doesn't show a reading anymore, it just shows dashes ---

Any ideas?

There is a section in setting that has some selections on the method for oil temp.

I think this is what the section does :dunno: :dunno:

Have you explored that area of settings yet?

Yes it doesnt do much. Even when you tap the oil temp and it switches to oil level...it just says 0 :dunno:

Best Android head unit for a E53 with DSP audio?
 

I'd rather not replace all my speakers, or run new speaker wires everywhere, so looking for an Android head unit that will integrate with the DSP audio ideally.

Is anyone here planning to order the Avin Avant 4 when they supposedly release it on the 22nd?

I still haven't received my 3 yet, I'm assuming they will ship me a 4 instead.
I've emailed multiple times but haven't gotten a response. :| hopefully the 4 will ship out soon:dunno:
