Tried to make use of the empty space we in the US do not get to use (rear fog space). Spoke with MrBMWX5 as he added LED's in this space. Here's what I did so far:

Yeah, yeah I know... they're not straight. It is a bitch to get the LED strip to stay in place. I wish there way to open the tail light so I can place the strips properly with the self adhesive back. But ya get the idea. You can fit up to 4 strips with 12 LED's across on each strip. I will try to heat gun the shizz out the tail light and see if it comes apart.

I replaced my intermittently working Lanzar bass unit (repaired 3x's) with a better quality Kenwood KSC-SW10 unit. The Lanzar/PYLE PLBASS8 unit sounds way better/has fuller sound but keeps breaking.

Took her into the shop today to have the motor mounts changed. Not really a job I wanted to do at home with no lift. Found out the passenger side motor bracket is cracked off just past the motor mount top bolt. I can't believe the minimal size of that casting at that point. The casting is really robust at the motor side, but tapers to very little at the mount. I'm not surprised it broke. Now it's waiting for the part from BMW.

Nice... I wonder how it would look if it was just straight lines and get rid of the curving. Probably double the work. Regardless, this looks nice and congrats.

That's what my ultimate goal is, to get them straight and add two more lines. It is a PITA though to slide the strip in and get it to sit straight. This is all without removing the tape for the self adhesive backing. I am going to try and heat gun the crap out of the outter red lens and see if I can detach it from the base in order to get the strips to line up and use the adhesive. If I can't do it then I will just take them out and use the same wiring to add an LED bulb in there just to use the empty space.
