Man. Lots of work there. I'd have used cquartz or opticoat after polishing to lock everything in. You *can* put wax over the ceramic coatings for a deeper shine.

What did you use on your engine bay, especially the plastic engine cover? Looks really nice!

Yeah, I use wax to top coat everything for that deep wet look shine. For the plastic cover, I took it off and used hot soap and water to wash it, then Mothers Back to black to shine er up.

Well, not today but on Saturday I had to get a new compressor and heater valve. Ran me 250 for the compressor and 130 for the heater valve. The rest was just an afternoon spent at the shop putting it in. Now I have ice cold A/C again!

The other day I noticed the rear bumper "diffusor" was coming loose and missing two of the three mounting screws and spray painted it aluminum before I reinstalled it.

Installed new body color painted decorative front skid plate and body color painted rear lower 4.8is spoiler. Also added 15mm spacers to my front wheels for a perfect flush appearance

Replaced thermostat and auxiliary/additional water pump and drained radiator coolant -car service manual says coolant is lifetime :-) Lol. I was getting error code for thermostat and auxiliary pump was making a loud noise. Also drained and refilled both front and rear differential fluids. Car is at 98K miles. All parts and fluids OEM from Tomkinson BMW.

X5 4.4 2005 sports 98k miles.

Where did you get your lower skid plate from? If it's the OE accessory one they should be no longer available last I checked? If you could let me know I would definitely still be in the market for one!

I bought it from gault bmw 3 months ago
The skid plate im referring to is just the decorative one. Not the metal beast that actually protects

That's the one I'm talking about, are they still available in Canada? I know in US they are no longer available, I had my dealer do a nationwide parts search.

RB, I got it from Gault BMW in NY in Feb.
I also found it online at a few other stores (Ecs tuning etc...) let me have a quick looksie for you.

OK WOW, so I can't find any skid plates anymore on the sites I found 4 months ago.
BUT try to contact Charlie Spear at Gault BMW in Endicott, NY @ (1-855-300-9578 or 1-607-321-0023) and ask for the part (82-11-0-021-339). He may have more.
