I tried to cut corners by being cheap and I have learned my lesson. I purchased Febi control arms, Febi ball joints, Lemfoerder sways and tie rods and the difference is night and day. I will be sending back the old defective parts to ECS for a warranty claim because even though they are cheaply made parts, I don't think they should have deteriorated that fast.

I will also be replacing my front thrust arm bushings with Febi ones because I still have a slight shake when breaking from 60mph down and it is due to the PowerFlex poly bushings I have in there. I can live with the slight shake but my wife keeps nagging about it.

So do yourselves a favor and DO NOT PURCHASE MTC BRAND SUSPENSION PARTS. Spend more now and less in the long run.

Hey Cisc0, why would the PowerFlex bushings cause a vibration, have you swapped them out yet?

what kind of shaking?when i brake abrutly at higher speeds i noticed my steering wheel shakes. I always thought this was due to bad rotors

I failed to torque them once loaded. I have since replacing all components torque them while loaded on all fours and the shaking has minimized a lot so I kept them. They are stiff as hell though in these mean NYC streets. The minimal shake I still have has to do with a minor bend on one of my front rim. This was discovered after a RoadForce balance. I guess I could live with that.

My shaking was more like a trembling/vibration on the steering wheel. Check your sway links, front thrust arm bushings, lower control arms, ball joints, flex disk and as you mention, rotors.

How do you tell if there's a Naval Pilot in the bar?

He'll tell you.

:p:

I get a pass, the F-18's doing touch-and-go's on the office roof and blue angels going supersonic 50ft over the parking lot are quickly making me deaf. NAS Oceana, oh you....

But on a related note the X5 is going to the local detailer tomorrow for some high-speed rotary love.
