It's plaid fabric. Used some spray glue over the wood and stuck it on. If I ever want to revert back to the wood, some 3M Adhesive Remover on a cloth and it will be back to new!

740ilDuke, yes the software is a good thing to have for troubleshooting, but you won't need it to change your transfer case fluid since yours is pre-Xdrive, no clutches to reset.
It's a simple fluid change with ATF.

Great post!
I was curious how it was done.
I have some questions if you don't mind.

What version of DIS do you have? (mine is 44, should work)
When you start the reset procedure, are there noises that can be heard?
How long lasts the reset procedure?
Is terminal 15 Ignition (pos 2)?

Thank you.

I have DIS 57 SSS 41, the noise you heard maybe the actuator activation, I also had a medtronic battery charger connected, because I also did some other coddling. It should take only a couple minutes.

Replaced all instrument cluster bulbs. All is bright and clear now, the search function here was my best friend.

installed my 18" beyern Rapps with snow tires :(
tightened up my park brake at the pads/rear rotor drums

Changed my valve cover gasket, the one I installed last year failed already,

Oil service. Pixel repair. New nav screen. New tires ordered. Stereo upgrades.

Just used the 3M headlight restoration kit. Only takes about 45 minutes and considering my headlamps were solid white, Im very pleased. Best $14 I've spent, sure beats $400 replacements! (but AE's would be awesome, too)
