Replaced the driver door lock. Almost dropped the screw in the door, but once I used a little paper tube I rolled up, that danger was eliminated. Took just a few minutes to do, though it started to rain hard just as I got the old lock off.

However, as we say in the USMC, if it ain't raining, we ain't training.

Nice to have an X that locks again.

:D

Glad to hear she is cosmetically perfect again :)

Well, mine wasn't exactly paintless.... :eeps: The dings went through the paint, so in order to match the best possible way, I had the rear upper and lower hatch as well as the left and rt rear quarters done. That took care of a scratch I'd had for awhile. So it does look pretty good, now.

Needs correction badly though. some time with a polisher and compound will take care of it.

Replaced the weatherstripping on the bottom of the passenger door this week. That was a toughie. Took about 37 seconds. :)

FINALLY.
I rewired my center console dash to be powered only when the key is on. Thank God. I was getting sick of unplugging my phone/ipod everytime.
Simply ran a new power wire from the back of the cigarette lighter to a fuse in the fuse box (used a fuse tap) and bam. No more constant 12v!

Bouchedag84 - cool beans!

Discovered low coolant yesterday. Topped off, did bleed procedure, checking again in the morning. :)

Prof,

You're a Marine. You are in the service of your nation. You shouldn't have to lock your car. Anyone who approached should get "the vibe" that a Marine owns that vehicle, and they should back away slowly and quietly so as not to disturb the lion :)

Thank you for your service.

Thanks. Hopefully the fuse I used, speed control, is fine. Shouldnt be an issue as I retained the original fuse and just used an add-a-circuit (fuse tap) to it.
Now if only I could figure out a way to tidy up my ipod aux and charge cable. They drive me bonkers. I can't hide them completely because I'm always using the ipod to skip songs etc... Hmm.. Who wants to buy me that new Dynavin?
