Got tired of waiting for Continental to release the CenterForceContact Ultimate Performance Summer only tire in the 255-50/285-45 19" sizes.
Ordered a full set of ultimate performance/summer only Vredestein Ultrac Vorti tires. Don't really need Y speed rated rubber 186mph, just want maximum summer wet/dry grip. http://www.vredestein.com/car-tyres/...ac-vorti/info/ |
Nice looking tire James!

Waited all summer for Conti' to release these, still no release date. |
Put some fresh wire cover on the thermostat wires, Couldn't get all of the hold one off so joined 'em with electrical tape. Here's hoping it's not too hot for that. ;)

Have a look at the Falken FK453CC. I have them on my X5 In 19inch and they are fantastic wet or dry.

Wow. Look at those tread blocks. That is a nice looking tire.

I read reviews on those and the Ultrac Vorti. Saw most reviewers had issues with the Falken high wear rates. Many owners (mostly european), who reviewed the Ultrac Vorti were amazed at how quiet, soft riding and long wearing these new Vredisteins are. Many reviewers had used the Vredistein Sessanta prior to the Ultrac Vorti and reported more wet/dry grip, quiet, progressive breakaway/non-snappy recovery and 40k miles of spirited driving resulting in 50% tread depth remaining. Audi R8 V10 and Vette Z06/ZR1 owners posting 2nd gear WOT (DTC off) on new/wet pavement, were expecting excessive wheelspin, found HUGE traction/launch, these thing GRAB and GO. |
