roof basket, spare tire roof carrier, ordered a double din head unit as well as new speakers. I tried the grom but I dont like how you have to use the 6 folder set up and then it doesnt like sub folders..so i'll replace the door speakers and get an amp so if I want to add a sub later on.. other than that, it's getting warm out, so I got all of my compounds and polishes out to do some paint correction.

Got a replacement smart key for our '01 3.0 today...
I lost 'my key ring' with 2 cars, two houses and other keys a while ago, and finally got around to replacing the two cars sets of keys.

It was the first time in 52+ yrs of car keys that I lost a set; if it doesn't happen again in my life, it will be too soon. :(

$200 at the Sarasota BMW dlr, plus 10% off with my BMW CCA card.

The CEO's Hyundai Tucson key and fob was $63, though that took 10 mins of a 'tech' fiddling with his lap top, 'programming' the new fob.

The older I get, the more I forget; if my skinny azz wasn't hooked on I would misplace that, too. ;)

^^^mD that reminds me that I bought my '03 with one master key from the PO back in December 2011. That would put my current (only) master key at almost 12 years of age.

Even though I don't intend losing it, I may need to stop by the dealer and pony up the greenbacks from the Fed to get a new one, "just in case"

Figure I'd post a pic of the plasti-dipping I did...before and after
Lower centre grill, right/left grill, kidney grills and hood vent/grill things.
Will be doing my stock BMW summer rims shortly:thumbup:

RB/J...both of my original '01 keys worked fine, inc the one I left on the roof of another car, and drove off, out from under.

My non lost old key works fine, new key works fine as expected, as does the valet key, and my plastic hideaway key.

If you do get a replacement, it might be worth checking diff dealers if you have a couple in your 'area'. Based on the wide ranging prices posted by others there is some wiggle room for a dlr.

The Naples, FL dlr wanted $300+. The more local to me dlr here in Sarasota did it for $200 and allowed me to use my BMW CCA card for 10% off that 2 Bens.

Next time I lose a fookin set of keys, take me to the Dog Track, please.

LOL

No surprise that Naples wanted $300 +, they prob wanted the CEO to test drive a new F10 before letting you near the parts dept.

Also finished installing the pdc retrofit. Just need to pick up a switch panel off flebay and code it to work.

Then I need to get new 20" tires for my summers and then get started on my nav retrofit and black carpet swap.
