replaced 16:9 screen successfully today. It was listed for 124 USD with best offer option. I offered 99$ and they took it. Came from China in 10 days.

Viewing angle is good and no dead pixels. took me 90 minutes but I was multi-tasking.

Yesterday, or more precisely Saturday, said goodby.

I wasn't really ready, but was kinda forced into it by family members who just couldn't trust such an unrealiable vehicle. Too bad - new brakes, front calipers & hoses, recent tires, and does NOT smell like burning oil any more. But it did have a nasty vibration at speed - my next stop was Tire Rack to get a road force balance.

No more, I have a leased 2016 X3. Nice SAV, but I will miss the E53 with each lease payment!

BTW, got only $3K for my 2002 3.0i with 139K miles in trade. Oh well, I did take the tan Weathertech liners.

Any offers?

Thankjs:thumbup:
I just hope the CCFLs hold out for a while ,as before if any bulb blew ,I could replace it without opening headlight.
Had the Depos for a number of years and no problems,so pleased with them ,just always picked on the spider shroud and took a long time to do anything about it ,but thats old age for you :D

Followed all typical painting steps but I think the primer I used had some sort of reaction to the plastic. Wasn't like a fish eye from grease/oils. More like a chemical reactions. Tried to work through it by layers and sanding but it never came out good. Looks like I'll be ordering a new one. I hate painting...

Wrap it in vinyl or plasti-dip it.
