Getting rear camber bolts installed and alignment tomorrow.

Yesterday I hooked up my Schumacher battery charger on manual mode and loaded up the Conforti Shark Injector onto my 5MT - took about 15 mins. Do I feel a difference? Heck yes, throttle is snappier, more torque down low and midrange, throttle response between gears is much better (drive by wire delay is almost nonexistent now)

Is it a night and day supercharged tune? Absolutely not, but I wasn't expecting that at all. I've had an APR tune on my previous 2.0T VW GLI and yes that was night and day and balls to the wall power for the money, but you won't get that on an NA motor.

For all the 3 pedal guys (and probably the AT guys too), if you are putting in an intake or high flow filter, and/or exhaust, I definitely recommend the Shark upgrade - I got mine on sale for $270 which I was comfortable with paying (Black Friday sale at Tuner MS), sometimes they are on sale for $300 or so, but even at $350 it should be a worthwhile upgrade.

No shark available for 4.8is

Ricky Bobby 12-14-2015 02:27 PM

^Nope - for 4.8iS you'd have to go with Dinan, ESS, or Active Autowerke -

Hot selling 4*131mm e36 angel eyes lighting led SMD 3014 led angel eyes ring E46 E38 E39 with projector-in Angel Eyes from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

Doubtful the solder joints broke, they were encased pretty good and actually really well made, Lightwerkz was happy with the looks/quality when installing - been my experience with LED's in headlights that they will eventually all fail to some degree and especially with the newer styles that they are spaced so close together (too much heat) that the heat will kill them - oh well, I'll unplug them for now, and revisit doing them over the winter. The angel eyes really made the truck stand out, even when used only as parking lights.

Well I hope my set won't do that.

I messaged that seller to see if they can put together a kit for me. Tired of seeing my headlights in 100 pieces in the basement. Also doing a retrofit on my E36 as I hit a tire recently, and part of the reason was that the stock candlelight just isn't sufficient.

Miniz - I just double checked my sizes on my Aliexpress order, the low beams were 125mm full circle - I will probably be ordering a backup set to have spares and just replace the one that has a few LED's out. The other 3 rings are still great, so I'm chalking it up to one dud ring for now

Hi Jay,
Sorry to hear about your faulty SMD leds, especially as that ring only lasted less than 4 months , since August ,when you fitted it :(
I also bought an X5 SMD kit (161mm +131mm) from same supllier as you, but opted not to fit it as I could notice the individual leds ,so I sold it:D
Are you still buying from the same supplier or have you found another with better quality?

Ricky Bobby 12-15-2015 12:07 PM

^I planned on the same supplier and chalked it up to one faulty ring as the other 3 are fine, and the LED's are spaced very close and look uniform, plus the fitment is great - I was going to give it another month or so before I ordered from the same supplier - or I was going to go with the Umnitza LED's since supposedly they do not fail

Good. :lmao:

I just bought 145mm semi-circle and 125mm full-circle angel eyes last night. Doubt they'll get here before January 10th, so I'll wait until Easter to finally put together my X5 headlights.

PDC install complete. Had to piece everything together since you can't buy the retrofit kit anymore (I think). Front mudflap install complete too. Parking is much easier and my wife will actually want to drive it now.

The spherical bushings in the thrust arms are amazing. Still amazed at the difference in handling.
