Today: upper radiator hose and a ride around town on a rollback.
Last week: rear air spring, expansion tank, valve cover gaskets, air filter, oil change. Tomorrow: try again to clear the detested "self-level suspension inactive" message. Then she can go back to serving me! |
2 months ago had my transmission rebuilt for the 2nd TIME!!! Thank god for the extended warranty I bought after the first rebuild. Last month lost my fuel pump driving down the expressway. Tomorrow it is replace brake pad day.

Thursday, replaced window regulator and motor, friend donated parts. Nice
Saturday, got my engine mounts replaced. NIIICEEEE. Sunday, rear hatch top lid locking mechanism broke. Monday took mechanism apart, ordered new one, waiting patiently for part to arrive. Not nice, to the tune of nearly $300 shipped. |
Had the rear bumper painted today to remove a few scratches .

I drive most of the time only with my fogs on since the LED angel eyes are so bright already. But if the phenomenon occurs where the hazards come on/interior light illuminates with activation of the HID fogs, I can turn off the hazards and the interior lamp immediately but when i actually shut the car off and the interior lamp comes on again, when i get out the car, and shut and lock the doors with the key, THE ALARM WILL BEEP INDICATING THE ALARM IS SET BUT THE DOOR LOCK CARRIAGES WILL REMAIN IN THE UP POSITION, DOORS UNLOCKED AND THE INTERIOR LIGHT WILL NOT SHUT OFF. i believe you were a victim of the aforementioned my friend and that is the culprit that drained your battery. I just wanted to share this in case anyone else experiences the same issue. If you unlock and relock the doors again with the remote with the car off, all troubles will be cleared until the next time it happens. |

Gave the new foam cannon a try and washed it with some new Chemical Guys HoneyDew foam. I then used some old Mequires foaming wash that I had sitting around. It's close to being as foamy, but doesn't stick as well. For the price, the Mequires is a better value. This is much easier than the pressure washer cannon I have been using for awhile.
I even washed the wife's E46. |

NOTE: Adding this reply to my original posted topic, basically asking wha' happened? |
Changed the oil in the transfercase and fr/re diffs, rear diff oil was clean front diff was dirty, bit odd, transfercase oil was dirty also 90ks first time changed. Also gave it a wash as always with kerosene and water, I've had some critics but after 40years of using it and getting many compliments on the condition of all of my vehicles over the years, no contest.
