To ClassyJalopy. Early 4WD system is easier to maintain and works well in winter (trust me, I grew up in WI but live in the Alps). Don't limit yourself, consider pre-facelift cars.

- I personally think 2004-2006 models are better, no FRONT driveshaft issue. And it has 6spMT, which gives you better fuel mileage on hwy.
- Go to autotrader dot com. Enter X5, years. - Right now, there is a 2005 X5 6spMT with 98K in Waterloo IA. - Just keep looking, you will find what you want later. |
Thanks guys, I will check out the Iowa one
|
That IA one is listed as a MT on autotrader, but the pics on the dealer site show auto. Typical autotrader.

Yes that appears to.be a dud, unfortunately

I just found out some production data for manual E53s:
pre-LCI 3,219 US 128 Canada LCI 1,079 US 20 Canada |
^Low numbers for sure, especially in your Great White North. Looks like you will have to import one if you really want one. I wouldn't mind having a 6spd X5 even though it has the straight six. I bet it's a hoot to ring the neck out of the M54. :)

Tull is right. Not inspiring but great all around.

^For sure fellas. Wasn't thinking true performance wise. Just "fun" wise. My ultimate "fun" X5 would be a rear wheel drive N62b48 powered variant.
