Took the plunge and ordered an X5 3.0SD from Auto Classic in Perth today. Due to land in early March and I cant wait already! Pity you buggers who have been waiting forever.

Sapphire black with black interior, aluminium trim, sports package, Y spoke 20's, ARB & sunroof.

Plans for headrest DVD system, remote radar detector, 20-grade tint and remap of some sort.

Anyone sourced Vizualogic DVD systems in Oz or had their diesel chipped/map/tuned?

Looking forward to any feedback.

who was your salesman ? for yours to land in early March (sounds like it is on the ship that mine is on which is due on the 2 Mar 08) and ordered today you must have taken one that someone had ordered and didn't want anymore ?

Dealership actually had 3 X5's available, all arriving on the same boat in early March. A black 3.0D Sport, a grey 3.0SD and the black 3.0SD Sport I ordered. According to Rob it's the first time in 6 months the dealership actually have stock to sell not just take orders, but that did come from the mouth of a car salesman :)

so these were 'stock' X5s ?. Can you remember the spec for the Grey 3.0SD ? was it a sports or non sports ?

Grey one was a non sport 3.0SD with roof and ARB. Nothing else.

what's ARB?

i think it stands for Aluminium Running Boards. Strange name if that is the case.
