I actually think the Money Factor on the X5M is going to be higher. It's a new vehicle.
But I also think the Residual will be higher.

Think of it like this.. If a lot of dealers are sitting on 2008 M5's, and they are discounting those vehicles to $10,000 below invoice than that drags down the residual value of all M5's. So a 55% residual on a new M5 is reflecting the fact that 2009 and 2008 M5's are still sitting on lots, depreciating the value of the new cars and bringing the residual down.

Since that problem doesn't exist with the X5M yet, my guess is BMW will try to keep the residual high to keep monthly payments low..

My numbers are showing much lower than that.. I'm also not equipping the vehicle with as many options..

Also, don't know what your $800 "additional costs" are?

I'm also fighting for a bigger discount.. Just don't ask me how much cause I don't know yet.. But I'm willing to wait for a vehicle.

My policy is to never ask a dealer what things cost.

My policy is to find out independently what the cheapest price is on everything then I call a dealer and say, "This is what I'm willing to pay, do you want my business?"

With the numbers I've been chasing, I've calculated the car closer to $1350 with tax.

And if you include the $1000 cash back from BMW CCA.. Hopefully it will be closer to $1322.. But those numbers are FAR from being confirmed.

Excellent, I heard the same from my dealer as well. I'll try to snap a few videos when I take it out for a test drive.

Sadly, I'm still a little unsure if upgrade from the 4.8is to the ///M is worth HUGE cost (I think my dealer agrees with me too).

I'll be interested to see how this works out...My 2008 leased at $1,075 for 36mo with $3800 in cap cost redux on a $72k truck....I would assume like a lot of high performance vehicles that the lease rates will be higher than normal due to limited production. I've found this to be true on MB and Audi so I would assume the same..but I guess we'll see...Standing by!

If anyone is interested in ordering a 2010 X5M, my local BMW dealer has one in Status 112 that isn't spoken for yet. It can be custom ordered while in Status 112. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the contact info.
