Those are impressive numbers: shaved off close to a minute on 0-60 from the road test numbers I have seen around.

How tough is it to flash the tune? Have u noticed any untoward effects on the vehicle or difference in its ride? Just weary if the process is complicated and the factory warranty void issue

I know this is a taboo to ask: but has the fuel consumption increased significantly since the tune?

if you have a battery charger, the install is easy. The instructions are a little confusing at times. The screen shots you follow are not exact sometimes. But you basically click a button to accept a few items and let it sit and load and unload. It is time consuming, but very easy.
and as long as you can turn accessory on, you can reflash

The vehicle runs pretty much exactly the same in regular mode. Click the lever over to sport and it is a different animal.

I mentioned the Limp Home Mode the other day. But I shut her off and when I refired, it was gone and I drove the truck alot after that and no issues. I have to say the software is safe. I cannot determine if it is hurting the rings and pistons tops with all the extra boost. But i think the BMW adpative system keeps a pretty good watch on lean conditions. If one were to appear, i think it will pop right into Limp Home.

Gas Mileage??? I have no clue. i just add gas when it needs it. I used to have a 2010 QX56, so I am not that concerned. Personally in regular mode, it is probably the same.
The factory tune runs really rich. I bet A/F is in the 12-1 range!!!
My tailpipes used to have alot of carbon all the time. It seems less now.
So with regular driving mileage can hypothetically improve???

I highly recommend the ESS. For 2k, you cant beat it. I still want someone to get a Dinan tune and see how it runs. I am willing to bet, it would be similar to the killer Renntech Tune.

One thing doesn't make sense...the 0-120 time is 11.67, but the 1/4 mile time is [email protected] doesn't add up. If you get to 120 in 11.67, the trap speed at 11.72 seconds should be greater than 120, assuming that all of these numbers are from the same run.

1.67 60ft on street rubber... Those rear half-shafts are taking a beating, haha. Might want some 300M versions after more power/time.

I noticed that as well. This is the first time the vehicle reached those speeds on a timed pass. maybe a glitch???
When the weather cools, i will be taking it to Atco for a track rental and get some decent passes on a track. But for now, I have no reason to doubt the Gtimer. I look at it this way. When the truck was bone stock, i ran it and it ran similar ETs/MPH as most people ran in the stock vehicles. if my truck was showing faster times then the others, I would doubt the results. Only way to tell for sure is the strip

1.67 on this truck is really soft. It never whacks the tires like you think it would. If it did, I think it would go 1.5* 60fts. There is always a slight delay with the LC. It doesnt even chirp the tires on LC. If there is a way to get rid of the delay completely, The truck will pick up ET.
I think the parameters might be changed with the tune. The trucks are probably tuned really rich for safety. leaning the A/F will pick up alot with the same boost levels.
My buddy has a 1500rwhp, 7sec turbo mustang and with a slight change in A/F he can pick up 200HP!

Do you have a scanner or anything to clear the error ? Is the ess unit able to read and clear errors ? It would be better if you could download the data and send to ess to see what caused the limp mode. I personally would be worried about it and looking to diagnose.

i do not think a scanner will pick it up. There is NO check engine light. There are no warning lights at all???

I am sure the dealer can pull up the problem. But I am not concerned. It seems alot of people were having problems with this. There is a thread about it.

If it happens again, I will yank the tune and drop it off at the stealer

If you do go with GoPro, get the HD. I have one of the older ones and it is OK but the HD version is MUCH better.
