I thought D6 also has ibus controls? Why can't you change dashboard features on the D6?

![]() D6/D7 has IBUS functionality limited to steering wheel controls (volume +-, Forward/Back, phone), temperature display for engine and battery voltage (but I don't trust those values) and PDC. That's it. You cannot change date/time that shows on the dash nor reset mpg etc. As pointed out earlier, you cannot install any other app whatsoever. To change date/time or set mpg on the dash, you'd have to temporarily reconnect the factory head unit and change it the old way ![]() Here's the Dynavin USA distributor. It's important to note that this distributor is customer oriented and very knowledgeable about Dynavin. My Dynavin N6 broke after 4 months and he replaced it pronto since it was within the 1 year warranty period. https://www.jandtdistributing.com/co...00-2006-bmw-x5

I forgot that one of the major reasons I didn't buy the Dynavin was the closed system. I plan to keep my X5 for awhile and at the rate technology changes I was concerned that it would be outdated before long.

I just installed the oem aux cable and it's working great!
Now wondering if I should get the bluetooth retrofit kit. With bluetooth and aux I should be ok for a while. Next to find out if rearview camera can be set up using the oem nav screen!

I don't have the tv module, but a quick search on ebay shows units for around 100 bucks used. How are these tv modules installed? Do they come prewired from factory?

Question on the orm nav monitor:
I just replaced the monitor with a new sharp unit from ebay. The BMW logo showed up when I plugged in the unit, but the unit won’t power on when I press th power switch. Am I missing something? Perhaps I need to enter the radio code first?
