I'll take my radio out of the dash tomorrow if the temperature gets up high enough and see if I can take some pics of the factory plug.

This comment probably has no value
, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway. When I installed my Eonon unit a few years ago, I just pried the two blue plastic covers out of the factory plug at the dash and just plugged the new radio in.

Still planning on taking picture of plugs for you. I cant get 2 seconds of free time when the temps are above freezing to do it. I make it a point not to touch plastic stuff removal wise when the temps get low.

Not an problem. Would like pictures of the wires in the white connector, only need the slot location of the black ones. Really appreciate you help. I haven't done anything more other than searching for information on DSP fixes. So far nothing that is detailed enough.
I am concerned that when I tried the Seicane-works in all cases- fix it caused the 20 seconds of sound to disappear, perhaps burning something up that allowed the 20 seconds of sound.

Yesterday I went to a car audio shop. They were not familiar with the Seicane unit or DSP. They said all I needed to do was run a trigger wire so I tried that again.
I went back through the thread this morning to review all the input and list the post numbers so I can get to each pertinent post easily. I watched every youtube video I could find hoping for a revelation but found nothing that I hadn't already tried. I spent some time this afternoon working on the problem but had no success. I verified everything is just as it was when I had short term sound. I tried the Seicane fix again. Tomorrow I am going to look for a fuse on the amp. My guess is I have either blown the amp or a fuse on the amp. I verified there is current to the amp. I don't see a fuse though it might be at the bottom side of the amp that I can't see without removing it. Will also be visiting another shop tomorrow to see if they are familiar with Seicane and DSP.

Temps are still sub freezing here. Felt sorry for the guy that put the windshield in my X5 this morning it was so cold here.
As soon as it gets a bit warmer I will pull the radio and take the pics.

That's frustrating redliner. Hope the next shop has some experience with DSP.
I've already started buying the equipment to ditch DSP... At least selling the DSP stuff will help pay for some of the install.

Quote:
I understand the DSP amp is not very good and an upgrade is worthwhile. While I did upgrade the speakers and subwoofer with a dedicated amp with a kit from BSW years ago, I don't know if I will get a noticeable improvement from an aftermarket amp nor what to buy. I'm not going to spend much on an amp, my focus is go fast mods, I'm not into audio performance. My intention has been to get the Seicane unit up and running with DSP and see if the sound improves but I am past sick of this. Do you know if there is a fuse on the DSP amp that even with power going into the amp it wouldn't work? There must be a reason I lost the 20 seconds of sound. I can't find any setting on the Seicane that would matter if I have inadvertently changed. There is a DSP coding section on the IBUS amp that I have checked but thus far all it does is take me to the equalizer, not to any coding options.
