Crowz will become famous soon enough
Well I added more to the stereo tonight. I install my valentine v1 radar detector (took pics and will post install howto and final looks of it later).

I am having problems getting the v1connect Bluetooth dongle to pair but its 2am and I am tired so its probably me. I will get it paired tomorrow and do some videos of it in action if all goes well.

I posted the diagram for it a few times in this thread but I don't have the number handy since your radio isn't the same as mine. So I can't pull it up instantly.
We spend Christmas on the Gulf so can't tell you the model number. It is the premium sound with DSP and Nav. Will be back on 28th so can provide model number then.

I spent some time trying other features like DVD and pairing phone . No problems. Started wiring the rear camera. Couldn't find your post on how you wired your camera so will go through the thread while I am here. Will also write down a logical order to continue to troubleshoot the sound issue when I get back. I will post the steps for input.

I finally got the V1 to pair with the stereo on Bluetooth. I had to use the Bluetooth icon in the app area to get it paired. For some reason it wouldn't pair from the setup panel.

Oh well it works now. I need a radar source to show it off pic wise so I will try going to the grocery store tomorrow or sometime soon and shoot pics of it detecting the motion doors at the grocery store

We don't have many cops using radar around here and I am sure if I tracked one down I would scare them sitting and taking pics like that.....

I didn't see any today and I think my shortcut over a particularly curvy road was pretty close to your neck o the woods: (pardon the dust, lots of all glass open moments in S. Florida vacations)

That's an easy trip when the weather meets your acclimation to play with a DSP/Nav install. I'm dying to do it now that I've 'broken in' the (basically) new head. Damn thing runs better than it did @ 11k miles.

Hey Crowz,

Trying to hook up the IBUS adaptor to the blue nav connector wires, but the wires are multicoloured. How do i clearly know which is the 12v and which is the ibus wires?

From my ibus adapter page :

http://crowz.narmir.com/vehicles/bmw...apter-android/

Quote:
So on the ibus its :
1. Red to switch power source – Went to fuse box #7
Fuse shunt I used for #7 fuse in fuse box > http://amzn.to/2kwjRel
2. Brown to ground – Used wire #2 in blue connector of old nav harness which was brown
3. White to ibus – Used wire #6 in blue connector of old nav harness which was white-ish
4. Green isn’t used – Its designed for switching the nav screen out for backup camera rigs on unique setups which we aren’t using.
The #whatever part is the pin in the blue connector. They are numbered. If you look at the end of the plug you will see 1 and 12 on the connector. Just count across from 1.

So the second hole is Pin #2 which is ground.

The 6th hole is pin #6 which is a white wire and is the ibus wire.

I went to the fuse box on fuse #7 for my power source.
