To remove the black connector from the blue housing there is a small tab you can see in the picture dead center of the pic at the top of the housing. Lifting that allowed it to slide out of the blue housing the best I remember.

Well according to what I found doing a quick search it does the rear window defogger but I think it does more than that when I looked before but according the docs its rear window defogger only.

The main thing is its key switched to the accessory position. This means that turning the key one click on (accessory position) makes the radio and the ibus adapter come on when wired this way.

did you manage to get your rear view camera working? if so do you have a guide?

It works I wasn't happy with the particular camera is why I didn't do a howto. Let me make one real quick and I will post the link here.

Another question, does the bottom part of the head unit stick out when you go over bumps? There are no screws for that part to screw it to the dash?

Nope but you can hedge your bets on that. There is a post in the factory headunit at back. That post might be swappable over to the seicane to provide lift at the back if you run into issues.

Mine stays put just fine though.
