If you "blip" the gas a bit (not floor it) it will downshift for you, especially in sport mode...

another trick here...not sure if its work for all...but you can try it...
situation - your key inside and doors are locked
the spare key at home...doesn't matter how far...you actions:
1. you're calling home, the PHONE models (ur and the one at home) should be the same.
2. the one at home take the spare Key, set it close to mobile and push open button.
3. in the same time keep ur mobile at this end close to the car...and SURPRISE! doors are opened!
at least you can try it...hope it'll be useful for you X5 World!

Oh....., you didn't say it was a service - now that sounds cool. Tell us more - which carrier? What's this service called? Is it offered world-wide?

P.S. I'm still getting the feeling it's awful close to April 1st...

Might be common knowledge but I just realized this yesterday. Sitting in the X5 not running and the key not in the ignition you can still turn on the radio. No need to turn the key to accessory or have the keys even in the ignition.

I don't buy it. I have heard this one before, but not for a couple of years.
