I disagree on taking his offer. He has lost my trust and therefore my business so I would do 1 of two things.

1. Demand full refund. Return the RB's to him at my cost and have him refund me my full purchase price. Paying for the return is my cost of not paying greater attention.

OR

2. Have him send me another CORRECT set at his full cost. If the set is indeed correct, take photos of the two side by side and then send him back the defective one with the photos, again at my cost.

To me it just depends on whether or not you still want them. But, after so much headache I wouldn't get stuck with crap and $100.

Damn I really like the look of the etched RB. I was going to buy them as well, but after reading this, I am staying clear of this company and product.

Good Luck.

Yeah, its a shame really..

If mine where find, i would have been happy as a clown, saying it was a great deal and that everyone should go for it.

I could also live with the fact they where not fine at once, if seller would accept responsibilty and deal with the matter.

I would not recommend them to anyone now..

I reckon Meister has hit the nail on the head, especially with option #2. You've drilled holes in the car already and that is virtually impossible to fix if you were to take them off.
Don't settle for a shitty job on your X, I mean look at all the work you've just done re paint job etc. It was looking ab fab up untill this happened. You obviously take great pride in your beast.

Can you honestly tell me that you could live with these R/Boards with having to look down (especially on the drivers side) every time you go to get in, plus having to explain them if someone spotted the odd looking 5's?? It would irk me and I'm sure all of us forever and a day if that's what the end product turned out.

Maybe remind him that this has got the attention of a lot of X5 and probably other BMW drivers who surf the web looking for mod products from reputable vendors.

Hi guys.

The last update here.

Wayne offered me 100us refund.

Since i work a 4 - 4 rotation at sea, it would probably take me some 12 weeks to get it sorted, and that was a bit too long for me.

After i agreed with wayne about the 100us refund, i escalated the claim with paypal in order for him to do the refund. I then got a message from paypal stating that the dispute did not qualify further action from them since the bla bla bla only included shipping disputes.? Did not quite understand all that. But they would'nt take any further action in the dispute.

However, Wayne honoured the agreement we had and refunded 100us to my paypal account.

So im pretty much finished with the whole deal. If i get too anoyed with them, ill just get some other RB to install..

To everyone else that is considering these RB, if you buy from Wayne. HAve him send a photo up front of what they should look like, and specify how the logo should look like. Then you should be covered.

They are great aftermarked RB's. Just wish there where others selling them.

Thanks for all the input.

I was also getting ready to purchase the same set but after reading about all the crap he put you and others through I'm looking to get the oems. It's funny how some people have such a narrow view of the effect giving a refund for a product regardless of who's fault it is. He looked at it as him losing $470 in a sale when in reality he's just lost thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars in future business. Just goes to show how important customer service is in any business.

Glad to hear that you got the refund issue resolved with them. Not bad that they still refunded you even though paypal disqualified the dispute(why would paypal dismiss the case anyway?)

I'm a bit confused. Did you try to negotiate an exchange? Or you prefer the $100 refund?

to just make things simpler, if a buyer has to do this, don't bother buying from the guy.
