Replaced cooling fan clutch, the sound was horrible!
Replaced steering fluid pump, now I can rotate it with one hand

finally got a road force balance (my boy hooked it up at Lexus dealer for me fo free), no more shaking steering wheel.

The bad: he didnt align my car because my R/F wheel bearing is shot, and at Lexus apparently he doesnt have the zero degree wrench to adjust toe in the rear (which is what I really need, i have way too much toe in with my staggered 20s), and he dropped one of my wheels which caused 3 small nicks.

The perks of having a friend who is a Lexus ASE master tech? the wheel repair guy for their dealership will be fixing my wheel for free, and if I get him the toe adjusting wrench he needs, free alignments on a Hunter machine and free balancings whenever I need

I went to open my door this morning and it wouldnt open. I gave it a yank, then it opened. ok. Then I went to close it and it wouldnt close! the 2nd stage of the latch wouldnt engage. Ok - so I popped the port, lubed the carrier, lubed the latch, manually articulated the latch to both closed positions. Viola, door closes. Get in, drive 5 miles to work, derp- wont open period. Not sure if the lock is stuck closed, or the door is just frozen shut. Had to climb over. Maybe I screwed up the latch mechanism (the carrier seems to be fine, and the inside handle seems to unlock the latch), but it wouldnt open.

So, yeah, f this door

Its supposed to be sunny today, so lets see if that helps warm everything up. It rained yesterday then got really cold, so I am hoping this is all just frozen.

We should start a thread called: "What did YOUR WIFE/GIRLFRIEND do to your E53 Today". I hate getting calls that start with the dumbest questions: "Was there something wrong with the front tire?" You knowing that there was nothing wrong with the fooking tires automatically get pissed the fook off without knowing what's going to be said next. Just see the pics:

This is how the convo went:

Me: What happened now?
Her: I don't know but there's no tire
Me: WTF you mean there's no tire?!?!?
Her: I was driving and the little triangle with circle came on then it went off again then came back on so I pulled over cuz the car was pulling right and I checked the front and there's no tire on the passenger side front.
Me: WTF DID YOU JUST SAY?
Her: Cisco there's no fooking tire.
Me: Where the fook are you?
Her: Don't worry about it I will call a tow truck to bring you your fooking car. (this is where they get defensive)
Me: Can you explain to me WTF you are talking about? I don't get this part "There's no tire"
Her: I told you, I don't know what happened but there's no tire. All I see is the rim.
Me: So you mean to tell me that you don't know WTF happened, you were just driving and the tire just magically fell off the rim?
Her: I'll talk to you later. You are too hostile right now. I will call a tow truck.
Me: Where the fook are you?
Her: Don't worry.
Me: Woman, you better tell me where the hell you're at?
Now I hear voices, patrol car.
Police:"Ma'm are you okay?"
Her: Yes but, "I think (yeah she said that) I have a flat tire"
Police: Ma'm you have no tire. You're currently on State Property and you cannot change a tire here. You would have to drive off on the next exit which is about 200 feet where a tow truck can come get you or you can change your tire.
Her: Can you escort me out
Police: Sure follow me.
Me: DUDE WTF you're doing. You're about to drive on the fooking RIM.
Her: Goodbye Cisco. I will send you the coordinates to where I am so you can come change your fooking tire.
Me: :cus sing:

I get there, see the damage, She's inside the vehicle, driver side, map light on, EATING FUCKING CHICKEN!!! I swear to you all I am not making this up. This was my Saturday night off i287 near Port Chester. I took my key, proceeded to the trunk, pulled out spare, changed tire, went home and went right into my sons room, locked the door and went night night in a toddler bed. Sunday morning went out to see the rim (or get pissed off even more), now waiting to bring it to where I got them PC out in Long Island for repair. Then buying a used Conti DWS (if I can find one).

Cisco, that happened to me 7 times - 3 times with my wife, 4 with me... i lost the tire off the rim once, in Panama, in the middle of nowhere, hit a sharp edge of a concrete pothole going 90, the tire disintegrated by the time i managed to stop...

Other times, the remnants of the tires were still on the rim... but my conversations were almost identical to yours!!! hahahaha...

I must admit, losing a tire did not feel too extraordinary, car would just start pulling to a side - going 90, i understood that i lost tire, because it happened to me before, and i kept on driving, thinking where is that helicopter, that seems to be following me - it was the shredded tires sound...

check the CV boot, check the inner covers in the wheel well... she is lucky she was driving a bimmer, who knows what would have happened of it was anything else...

and you should know by now, women are different species - they talk and think totally different language!!!

lol...

That is why we have an arrangement in my house. No one but myself can drive my car. You don't have a car, or I am not available to drive you, that is why we live in the city, take the bus, train, or call car service. If that scratch on the bumper was not made by me, it better not have been made by you.

lol, but I'm serious. Don't touch my car.

Oh man...I feel your pain...but thanks for the great story. This reminds me of the old adage that sometimes a good story is better than a great time. A good story can be shared over and over again...with time healing any wounds that may have occurred as the story was unfolding.

Again, sorry for your loss...but thanks for sharing a great story.
