My chairs have gotten very squeekie the last months, to the point where it sounds like an old camping bed that you're sharing with your first girlfriend whenever you hit a bumpy patch of road...

Dipping the entire units in vaseline might help, but are there any less invasive procedures?

For the girlfriend or the seats?
You had my attention, now you have my interest.....

Seriously though, I used compressed air to get the dust buffalo's (remember where I am) out of the joints, etc and then used clear silicone spray.

Worked great!
Doesn't last for shit in the desert...

Getting this paint corrected has been a long time coming. This is also a good shot of the running boards from Blue onto White. Last week, I used an iron remover. It was awesome. Like a 1st step clay bar. This week was the actual clay. And this is no polish or wax... Just paint.

I also did the E30. That's getting polished and sealed tomorrow.

Well after the dumb asses lost my hub centric rings, I was going to have to pay 500 sar (130 usd) for a new set. I instead had aluminum bar stock welded in and machined to match the hubs for 700 sar (186 usd) now I don't have to worry about grabbing morons by their stacking swivel. https://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/67a02925...201-WA0002.mp4

New tires and an alignment for the 2002 today (ouch $, but sooo smooth now), oil change for the 2005 in advance of a short road trip up to Dallas and back this coming week.

Got a foot of snow dumped on us and it's FREEZING...so naturally the driver's side door handle broke leaving a single operational door. Luckily the working door is nice and convenient being the passenger rear.

So here I am cursing at this idiotic design and changing out with another super cheap amazon carrier which only makes things more challenging but I'll be damned if I spend any real money on any of these DHCs.

Out of sheer curiosity I would love to see if an OEM unit would actually work better but at $250 that will never happen.

Next thing on the short list is the driveshaft support bearing that's been wobbling aggressively.

Ugh....lately I've been wanting to punch this car in the face

It doesn't matter if you get a genuine BMW or aftermarket, it's a design flaw. Look up Andrew's fix on this board. He has a method of making it so they never break.
