Learned just how good summer tires are in the rain in the mountains. Ended with the Inspection II that I put off for the trip, control arms before the trip and a long-postponed clay-and-meguiar's detail to remove all traces of his road punishment. priceless.

Had to put more axle grease and new ring around the front left CV (inner) boot. Is it just me or is that damn clamp too close to the frame section?!

Told BMW to kiss my ars with those new key prices and fixed my own...
Thanks to the awesome contribution of Mrbmwx5 and RichiRich: Cutting the bitch open was pretty easy, just take your time:   I opted to not chisel out the welds:    Battery out, ready for new one:   New battery - $13 dollars New key - $260 Savings - $247 Doing the shit yourself - Priceless!
