Rims powdercoated and fake tips mounted. Doesn't look too bad for a 10 year old diesel ........

Just called him, tomorrow or saturday. Apparently he had trouble sourcing the control arm bushing. Sounds like a excuse to me, but eh.

Yesterday I've totally removed the cargo area cover (shelf). Most of the annoying noise just disappeared!
It's removed by pulling up two parts (left and right) at the end of the rack, closer to forward. Refer to manual for details.

I had the dealer perform the 7500 mile interval oil, fuel filter, air filters change today. I initially asked them to perform the 100k mile service even though it's only at 75k but apparently I'm too caught up on maintenance and didn't realize it.

The fuel filter replacement makes it run much smoother even on acceleration. I'm quite pleased with it. Funny how things can change so slowly over time that it's not detectable until a part is renewed.

I have it up for sale and taking offers but hmmmm...I love this truck!

I have my new 535i xDrive Msport on order for Euro delivery in September but I'm not rushing to get rid of my X.

Removed the entire front end including bumper, bonnet, slam panel, headlights etc.. Fitted new aux belts while I was in there.
Also swapped all the arches and rear bumper for 4.6is flared ones.
Tuesday job will be fitting a new front end including the 4.6is bumper and two new vanos solenoid seals after I found them both leaking! Phew!
