Totally depends on the car and badge. I've seen plenty of useless badges (24DOHC - Really Ford, really we care so much about the valve count it needs to be written on the trunk?) and quite a few that are tasteful and add to the aesthetic (my E93 M3 - not biased at all).

Thx RB. That's one of the reasons I took them off. Towels always snagging on those corners.
Even my lambswool wash mitt was getting snagged and was leaving small hairs caught behind the badge; really annoying...waxing is gonna be easier too. It's a win win situation all around.

I like it on some cars but not on others. For example, I debaged the S5 but I left them on my E30. I think I'll debage the X5 though

Installed umnitza angel eyes and polished my headlighs.

the headlight lenses were bad, what you see in the picture is not dirt but the lens damage. A little bit of elbow grease and they look almost like new.
Also replaced my burnt angel eyes bulbs..

3M headlight restoration kit
However, I felt the 3M polishing compound was not doing its job too well, and it wasn't enough of it in that little pouch they supply with the kit.
I had previously bought some Meguiar's Plast-x polishing compound, and that worked very well.
500 grit, 800 grit, 3000 grit wet sanding, and final step polishing.

I tried using a battery powered drill but didn't have a ouch juice for the job.
Ended up using the electric power drill. Much faster and better results.

I'm planning to do tail lights too but only 3000 wet sanding and polish.
After that, install some protective film on top.
By the way, I used some zymol wax to protect the headlights for now but that won't do anything long term , a film still needs to be applied .
