I think this is what you're looking for; it's for the E39, but should be the same for the E53. Take note that with the workaround, you won't be able to use the volume control on the head unit and will have to use the volume controls on the steering wheel (if I understand it correctly)

Philly X5 thanks for info, could you specify whether you had to buy a new rear camera for dynavin or you have used the same camera you had with HU also for Dynavin? It would be perfect if connection cables for HU and Dynavin are same, because I would like to avoid do that crazy job with camera instalation again.

Do all OEM DSP radios/navs/headunits have the same plugs in the back? I have the old school Nav head unit like the one pictured here:

So if I wanted to install a dynavin/hualigan unit, I'd have to reloacte the whole thing to the trunk? There is no MID..... or at least I'd guess it's built in... can I assume the plugs in the back are the same as the other units?

For a group buy, Maybe we can speak to Jeff about a special code when we order and then we can maybe get an certain percent off. If we mention we are from this forum. Just need to know how many people are interested in the Dynavin unit.

I bought it from Jeff at J&T Distributing and the guys customer service is awesome, he answers all the emails ASAP and shipping was really fast too.

If you want to see any specific screens let me know and I will try to post more pictures later

This is my old Hualingan unit - not bad but had some bugs

Camera on Hualingan but it looks/works the same on my new Dynavin

Dynavin Android screen

Google Maps Navigation - need wifi or tethering from your phone

This is Sygic Navigation uses regular GP signal no need for internet conn.

DVD playing

You can select live background on Dynavin Android unit, love Pandora

Some preloaded software

and some internet

and OBC - still need to learn how to switch from km, C to miles and F

Question do you still have control of the on-board computer system thru the turn signal level button? Also, do you still have the ability to see the info from the instrument cluster information screen?

Anyone have installed the Dynavin with the Fakra cable? How thick the cable? Was wondering if the Fakra cable was able to be tucked under the carpet/trims to run it from the back to the front dash?

to answer the question - I do not have access to the Dynavin OBC via car switch and you cannot reset/change the Dynavin values

Also, looks like you cannot change the info from KM,C to US miles and F

I installed FAKRA cable for my previous Hyalingan unit (Dynavin size should be the same) and you can definitely do it under the carpet but you will need to remove the back seat and also unbolt/remove the drivers seat for this project.
I ran my cable on the drivers side near the middle console.
