I thought about the AFE comments, but I should state this Dinan intake is about $100 less than any AFE set-up. and it has a fully enclosed housing, instead of just a metal shroud.
I was only interested in this cause of such the good deal.

IMO it is the only one that I would buy personally as it looks like an engineered piece of equipment.
I have installed and used the open ones like the K&N on other applications, but the Dinan one just looks right for the X5 - Hi end product.

Please let me know if you can help me out in my search.

Thanks!

Its going to be a tough find but can be done with time and patience. I scored a new Dinan CAI on ebay never been installed and got it for $200 on Ebay on a buy now. I got the Dinan tower strut bar from an enthusiast in Canada. I would have searched for the Dinan Exhaust but scored a great deal on an Eisenmann race exhaust for $980 as opposed to $2300 so I took it. So you are just going to have a to keep a daily look out for the Dinan parts.

Bcred, its from a 2001 model x5 and im a 2005 so not compatiable from my understanding.
He is also selling dinan exhaust too.
I hope he decides to sell the cai. I know it wont add performance and my only other upgrades r a mapping (thats apparently more powerful than a 4.8iS) and the 4.8iS exhaust installed. More want it for looks and i believe it may change exhaust note slightly.

Don't know the answer to that. I would call Dinan and ask.

Optimus, I believe the seller is having a recount on the price he is selling it for and making up a story to me now about how he can't open his hood to access the part.
I think he will try to sell for more and was just lying to me.

yeah the Dinan website shows the exhaust and CAI are pretty much only things that the two different model years will share. software/throttle body are different. I don't believe there is a MAF...

Where on the website are you seeing the exhaust and CAI?
