Yeah I snagged a new one last year for $175. I don't think the seller knew how much these retailed for when they were available.

yeah the kicker was it was on Ebay with $175 buy it now price. I figured I really did not have anything to loose given it was guaranteed by Ebay and a US seller that had plenty of great feedback. I snagged it as quickly as I viewed it. it shipped the next day and arrived 3 days later with all of the contents and instructions.
On another note, I was able to source a dinan front tower strut bar/brace from a X5 enthusiast in Canada kiji website for$210. For me that was the hardest part to find. |

Wheel spacers--wider stance improves stability and handling a little. Eibach sway bars front and rear-- better turn in, more contact patch, big improvement in handling. Strut tower brace with camber plates--much better turn in and less understeer H&R lowering kit---lower center of gravity-better overall handling. Since shocks and struts were fine it was judgment call to me to go with HD stuff. I didn't get anything worth the expense from them. Real sticky tires are always an option but I didn't go that route, tires wear out fast enough as is. Coilovers were an option but the ones I considered didn't pass the performance gain/ cost value equation over the route I went. There is no place on public roads that anyone should want to push what I have to the edge.

Wouldn't be surprised since they haven't offered the cold air package for our X5s for many years. The cover is metal so it could easily be restored. The box is metal so that wouldn't be a problem to restore. Buyer would want to be sure the tube is OK as it is plastic. I wouldn't advise purchasing the cold air package without getting the Dinan MAF housing as a stock MAF is smaller diameter than the Dinan intake tube and to some degree defeats the purpose.
