Hey guys... X5 Rookie here and new to the board. I pulled my SprintBooster V2 off my 550i two days ago and plan to install today on the E70. Currently the E70 response is terrible.

That's what I thought too when we still had bare pavement. Now that we have about a foot and a half of hard packed snow and ice, I'm mainly using 10 to 15% throttle so nothings fun. Such is life in the great white north.

maybe I missed it being discussed but do you guys remove the SB before bringing it into the dealer each time? How long does it take?

I sold my version 1 and got the Version 2. V2 has a switch which allows you to turn it off, half power and full power. The grin was back on my face as soon as I pulled out the driveway.

Installing and removing takes less than 5 minutes. When I had it on my 550 I only removed it the first 1-2 service visits; after that I left it on. One thing I did was keep the allen wrench in my car JUST IN CASE.

Some people say it worthless and that's their opinion. For me, I prefer it on and with the V2 it's much easier to disable it from the switch when I valet or have my GF drive the car.

I think that this item is a pychological gizmo. meaning, put two same vehicles one with and one without and the rat will not know which one is which. but tell him and he wil say yeah I notice the difference.
Oh. So you remember the "gismo" from a few years ago that, I believe, Ground Control was selling?
