My post was a response to JCL's post. Your responses have been clear...

We could let it die, but then we might have to discuss the turbonator.

For those that have never installed it or driven a car with it, you really have no idea what you're talking about. I truly believe that once you try it, you'll reconsider everything negative you say or said about it. I have it on my M5 and the difference is night and day...NIGHT and DAY! I've taken it out a few times to take my car in for service and I hate the car without it. I should also mention that I have a lead foot and have a highly modified M with many extra goodies added to enhance performance. The SprintBooster still makes a big difference. Prior to my M5, I had a 2007 530 which was also modified in the performance arena and even in that engine (I6), it made a huge difference. I also had that car remapped too and still, the Sprint Booster made a big difference. I only mention the remaps on both cars, because for those that aren't familiar, part of an ECU remap involves changing the throttle response of the car, outside of the fuel timing. Granted, the SprintBooster does not provide more HP or TQ, but it does help the car flow through the gears much quicker and easier.
The thousands of members on E60.net have been using this product for years. Everyone was skeptical at first. The best ever is when a newbie or skeptic posts a thread AFTER they've installed it and can't believe the difference. They take back everything bad they said about it. Any doubt they had is long gone. It's really quite funny actually. If we ever have any X5 meets in the Northeast and some of you skeptics attend, I'll let you try it out in my car. I think it won't take long to convince you otherwise. PS - I love reviving old threads on forums, especially when some drama is involved.

I personally believe it functions as a gain control, just like the factory adaptive throttle does. It doesn't make more hp, more torque, or faster acceleration. That is the part that was being ridiculed. If you like it, fantastic, it will go great with the blacked out tail lights on the M5. Does it come with a speedracer decal for the trunk lid?

I had it on my E class, does work... no increased HP , but better responce from the motor... not sure if this will do the same on the X5...
ONe question, in the BMW X5, does the CPU have memory of how we drive? i ask because the E class did have this, and i had to reset the ECU every so often to erase the memory of driving in traffic (slowly etc..) anyone?

There is also the famous 25 second rule in BMW's, which resets the computer. You guys know about that, right?
