Shame on you MD - the sprintbooster is awesome! While you are at it don't forget to add the Turbonator: +55HP, 33% improved mpg http://www.turbonator.com/index.html?id=adWordsMileage2 and last but not least the Vortec cyclone http://ricksdistribution.com/ You'll need a neckbrace for the whiplash from the extra ponies under the hood.....giddyup |

I am amazed at all the promotion of what is essentially a throttle gain control. It turns up the volume of an electronic throttle, nothing more. A link posted earlier in this thread even gives the % amplification.
Yes, I can understand that people like a more responsive throttle pedal. That is why BMW invented the adaptive throttle, to respond more closely to a driver's usual throttle-mashing style. Floor it all the time, and it becomes more responsive; use a steady foot on it and it becomes more relaxed. Nothing changes except the gain, or relative throttle result for a fixed throttle movement. There is no more hp. That being said, there certainly can be a different pedal feel. But it does cost ya.... I have a brilliant suggestion. Most people place their right foot in the same place all the time. Check you floormat, and you will see the indent from your heel. Now, if you press on the middle of the throttle pedal, you will get a certain throttle result from 1" of travel. Pay attention, here is the tricky part: move your heel. Press in a different spot on the pedal. Voila! You have now installed the Sprintbooster II! Unlike the prototype first version, it is infinitely adjustable! It is reversible! It has no impact on your warranty! It is undetectable by the dealer! Instead of a puny 30% gain improvement, you can double the throttle response, or more. If you try this, please be sure to send $29.95 to me. That is a 90% discount, certainly worth it for a $70 k vehicle. Have a nice day.

So you do you owe me $29.95 for testing this? I think the Sprint Booster is better value because users (generally) claim to feel a difference and it makes them happy Note that I do not plan to buy one; my 4.8i's throttle response is just fine for this sort of vehicle...

Not to facilitate dragging this gizmo thread out further, but below is C&P'd an interesting
White Paper/pdf on "Sprint Booster"; the author's conclusions are about the same as mine, JCL's and some other unbelievers here. But, if one has the gizmo on, and can really "feel" that "1/10th-2/10th diff", more power to ya'll. The Dare to Be Great collection of self help and Poz thinking books are big sellers at Barnes & Noble, too. Best Regards,mD http://frontiernet.net/~dbipes/sprin...intBooster.pdf

I already posted that link in earlier this thread. I think that this thread should be allowed to die....
