I love the color.....I might paint my 09 X5 this color so I could get black or white for the X5 M.

I went to my local dealer today in the SF Bay Area. I indicated my interest in the 2010 lineup and she indicated she'd be happy to order one to my specs, but didn't have the 2010 spec sheet yet.

She indicated that they're willing to work with me on the price for special order, something I didn't think was possible, in general. I thought that a car sitting on a dealer lot is something they want to move and thus will negotiate more on. She stated that the opposite is true, in that they can barely keep X5's on the lot because people come in on a whim and want instant gratification by driving off with one that day.

Not quite sure what to believe, since I rarely see E70's on the road here in the Silicon Valley. I see a ton of the older body styles driving around, so I am not quite sure where she's telling me that they are selling heavily...

Anyways, I'll be hitting y'all up for lease negotiating advice soon on the X5 4.8 for 2010. I know my dealer needs to make a few bucks on the deal, but since I am new to BMW, I have no idea what a good price is on a well-equipped X5 4.8. I pretty much want all of the "techie" options, but don't need any of the "sport" options...

I'm thinking it'll be safe to guess the LCI model of the 35d is going to retain the existing engine.

I heard it will be an all new tri-turbo engine with massive torque. Check my diesel X5 thread.

Just had a disappointing experience at my local dealer where the saleswoman was quite clueless about the X5. She was eager to take my order but didn't have any pricing and specs for the car.

Then she sends me an email 2 hrs later telling me that she would be happy to order night vision on a 750 for me. huh???

Any word yet on when the allocations will be released to order a 2010 X5? Or when the options/price list will be released?

Dying to know ... thanks!
