Following is my list:
1. Make it 20% larger, there is hardly any leg space for the rear passengers and the 3rd row is a joke on even the midgets. (Even though the X5 is similar in size to the MDX it's interior space is much less, maybe because of safety and insulation, but if you are making a 60K truck don't throw in stuff for name sake, make it useable)
2. Put more standard options, my buddy who got an MDX recently got it with more options for 20K less than what I paid. For example, I just can't understand why doesn't the tech. pkg include the upgraded sound system, HD and Satellite radio, specially when the Sat radio companies are willing to subsidize the cost of the radio if it is a standard option. BTW, I had a Kia Optima rental and that came with a USB jack and Sat. + HD radio as standard.
3. PDC and Camera, what a lousy afterthought of a job. I cannot believe the Germans who are supposed to be perfectionists would allow the neighbor's kid to design the PDC and Camera.
4. Why the hell is auto tailgate an option and not standard, when I can get it as a standard feature on half priced minivans? Looks like they designed it for tall people only rest fend for themselves or carry a ladder.
5. Thanks for assuming that putting RFTs means one would never need a spare.
6. I actually like the iDrive but the voice recognition could definitely do with a makeover.

It's called a Range Rover.

I for one love the current size from an aesthetics standpoint - it's a very sporty stance all around. Functionally, it is pretty much the right amount of space unless I'm going for a minivan (or a Q7 wagon look). I have twins and I have to bring 2 high chairs around sometimes, along with the rest of our baby gear and it fits in perfectly. I do need to make some use of the front seat (wife sits in the rear middle as they are still rear-facing). Something smaller like an X3 or Q5 would definitely not work for me. Something larger like a minivan I would pretty much have to give up form/handling over function and that's when I'm going to shoot myself.

I'm shocked no one mentioned the design flaw of the door dumping any rain or snow onto you as you try to get in and out of the car. Just plain insanity that it wasn't picked up in testing.

I guess the car is meant to be driven in the desert.

I think BMW knows how to increase size without making it look bawdy I think they can make it on the 7 series platform and call it X7 or something. There is not much difference in terms of interior space vs an X3

I completely agree with you in this point.

Everybody is saying to me that the rear seat of Toyota Avalon has more space than my X5 rear seats.

Also, I purchased X5 with 3rd row seats thinking that it is nice feature so more person can set, but unfortunately, it is not even relaxing for kids.

I know BMW can do many things without harming the shape or to change the shape.

1.Better camera
2.Faster activation of the camera when reversing
3.Removal of front PDC (they are a joke)
4.Removing cracking sounds inside
5.Touch screen navi
6.Vehicle hight adjustment (for e70)
7.Imediate showing of gear when changing to manual

Apart from these small details, I am satisfied with the car.

[QUOTE=Markost12;640338]3.Removal of front PDC (they are a joke)[QUOTE]

Don't take away the front PDC. I use it all the time. Great for gauging how far to park to the wall in the garage. Occassionally useful when trying to get into a tight parking spot.

If anything, they can improve and shorten the distance before the solid beep so people can get even closer.
