So moving on, I have spent the better part of 3 hours researching threads across different forums trying to find a fitting solution to my angel eye dilemma, granted I don't have the X5 yet, but the halogen "yellowish" look already bothers me.

After much consideration I set forth with the following requirements for an upgrade, First - It must have the same or better Day and Night look than the 5GT Angel Eyes; Second - It must be a stable upgrade (no Errors) with no heating issues; Third - Not really a set requirement, it must not go into power save mode when main xenon headlights are turned on. Here are my options, in no order of precedence:

1. GP Thunder 2010 7500's $20 - Cheap, going to try them anyway.
2. Lux H8 v2 Angel Eyes $224 - I'm somewhat on the fence on this, really want the DRL to be seen in the daytime.
3. LED Markers $234- Korean version with 60 degree beam angle dispersion, sounds like a better concept (pipedream?) but have not found anybody using them
4. LED Markers $200 - Chinese version with 30 degree beam angle dispersion, continue to review more posts.

Any updates out there will be greatly appreciated, specially any pictures at 100 feet (~30 m).

I was at the dealership picking up my dads 2011 when I saw the new 3 series angel eyes. Oh my god these look unreal. Put the audi lights to shame. Is there any way to retrofit just the bulb?

2011 X6M - "Angel Eyes" Upgrade?

I'm the very proud new owner for a 2011 X6M and am having difficulty finding out if the "Angel Eye" upgrades listed throughout this thread are compatible with my vehicle. I think I've seen that a few people with 2010 X5's and X5M's have installed them but not anyone with a 2011 X6M.
I'm not the mechanically inclined and don't know if 2010 X5 bulbs will work on an my car and am paranoid that I'll purchase the wrong bulbs.
Basically, I don't like the Yellow in my Bulbs and want to upgrade them to a "whiter" light... ideally more powerful as well.
Can anyone recommend a bulb that will do what I want for my vehicle?
Thanks in advance for your help!

After seeing how sleek the new halo's look on the 2011 5 series BMW really pissed me off by f*$%ing us over! So not fair.

So I contacted the salesman for this vehicle. He said the car is strait from the dealership and NO modifications have been made to the angel eyes. So these are STOCK on US 2011s.

That's interesting. It would be great if there was now a OEM white bulb.

Maybe it's only on the 2011 X5Ms, cause all the real life pics people are posting of their brand new 2011 X5s show the opposite (yellow bulbs) angel eyes, including mine.

The other thing is that CAs aren't always the most knowledgeable people. It's obvious that the bulbs are different for this car. Maybe some of the posters here on these forums who have the 2011 X5Ms can verify?
