On the M-Sport 19" wheels, are those performance or all-season tires?

From what I have seem they are all season on the 19" and perf tires on the optional 20's. Trying to determine of the M is on the 3.5D. Ordering tomorrow but my CD does not have any info.

If the standard 19" on the M-sport have all-seasons, I am sold.... Not to mention the front look of the M-sport is soooo much better than the stock one (which I hate). My lease is up in December, so will start shoping around in September to get the PDC delivery...

According to the ordering guide:
1. Getting M-Sport with 3.5i SA will be $20 less than without M-sport for the features I want ! - because certain features, such as running boards, multi-countour seats, etc are not availabe on M-sport, and ZCW is $150 cheaper... 2. M-Sport comes with the 20" performance tires... 19" with all-seasons are available as downgrade, but I am not sure which 19" those would be. In any case, waiting for the on-line BYO available to confirm these, but so far very excited.

I hate the fact that bmw focuses on useless aesthetics for the m package. I do understand ordering it for looks if you can spare a few k but to be honest I don't want M badges on my steering wheel etc if its just a vanity. It is almost like they make changes to the fascia that should have been on the lci then throw on a few cheap options and raise the price. I wish they would just give me 50 horse instead, then maybe Id drop the cash.

That's a market decision - it is available in Europe. List prices for diesel M-sport are on all the European websites.

You have a good point. While I like the overall look of the package I see no reason to call it "M." They should call it an aero package or whatever, but as someone said above, it's a marketing decision. I am one of those people who always felt that "M" should be exclusive to M cars (M1, M3, M5, X5 M, X6 M) and not some pseudo-variants of real M cars. Having an M footrest and 1 cm M badge on the steering wheel is ridiculous IMHO if you don't have an M engine under the hood.

50i with M-sport pack will have the ones shown in pics. Trapezoidal tips are not bigger than ones shown in M-sport pack pics. Last edited by LeMansX5; 02-25-2010 at 11:13 PM. |
